Microsoft has just launched Teams, its new Slack competitor.
Not so Slack
The Teams app is being billed as a chat-based workspace, intended as a place where colleagues can shoot the breeze – and talk shop.
Teams pulls together Microsoft's heavy hitters in one place: Office, Skype, and Power BI to name a few.
These can be used across multiple devices, and there's cloud storage too.
Come together
Teams is essentially an extension of Office 365, allowing users to switch more seamlessly between products.
While Teams bears many similarities to Slack, it has the benefit of Microsoft's massive infrastructure and existing client base.
