In an effort to make remote meetings more effective and personal, Microsoft will allow LinkedIn profiles to integrate with Office 365’s new people cards.
Integration power!
Things like calendar syncing will help users see what the day-to-day of other workers are like, and help better coordinate projects.
New coauthor features for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel will make cooperative task management easier and more transparent between groups.
How its done
Users must connect their LinkedIn account to their Microsoft account. What’s that’s done, they can dive in to a whole slough of new options for workplace collaborating.
The earliest version of the new Outlook features are expected to roll out in the coming weeks with more on the way.
What do you think about the new integration? Are you surprised or excited to sync your LinkedIn account with Microsoft? Let us know in the comments.
