Looking to do something a little different with your marketing in 2017?
A study from Buffer strongly suggests putting your money into social video.
Watch this space
The State of Social Report canvassed over 1200 marketers to take the pulse of the industry. Below are the three key takeaways.
1. Video is getting bigger
Most marketers surveyed (83%) admitted they wanted to make more video, but didn't necessarily have the time or resources to do so.
One third of marketers expect to spend more time and money on Facebook video in 2017, while a similar figure plan on increasing their YouTube presence.
2. Facebook's still king
Despite moves from Snapchat and others, Facebook isn't going anywhere.
93% of respondents use Facebook for their business, and 91% have used Facebook Ads.
Yet despite the drop in organic reach, 72% of marketers said they had not altered their Facebook use over the past 12 months.
Customer Service
While Twitter and Messenger rolled out new customer service tools in 2016, only one in five respondents admitted using social media for customer support.
This means there's plenty of scope for marketers to get ahead of the curve, and offer a service customers are increasingly requesting.
