In a small but handy update, Twitter has updated its login page to make it easier for first time users to navigate and explore the micro-blogging platform.
New look and feel
The new look login page has replaced its sunset background image with a photo showing smartphones using Twitter’s mobile app.
The login page also now includes a new welcome note.
“Start a conversation, explore your interests, and be in the know,” has replaced the previous text “Find out what's happening, right now, with the people and organizations you care about.”

By making the login page more accessible to new and less engaged users, Twitter might be able to boost its numbers ahead of its upcoming IPO.
The update is also part of a larger redesign that Twitter is expected to roll out in the coming months, that will presumably feature more advertising and sponsored options for brands.
