After months of trials, Twitter is finally launching its Buy Now button.
Twitter announced the newish feature in a blog post.
“This is an early step in our building functionality into Twitter to make shopping from mobile devices convenient and easy, hopefully even fun,” the company explained.
When a user clicks on a tweet featuring the Buy Now button, they will be presented with additional product information, as well as the option of entering their payment and shipping details.
Payment details are kept secure via encryption, so repeat buyers won't have to enter their details for every purchase.
At the moment the Buy Now button is being limited to a select group of bands, non-profits and music artists, and is currently only available for a small section of US users.
However if it takes off expect to see the Buy Now button coming to a timeline near you soon.
