Google might want to own everything, but the reality is even it can’t be everything to all people.
Recognising it must play nicely with others, Google Apps for Work has just released an update for customers who use its competitors’ products.
One big happy digital family
Users who don’t necessarily want to use Google’s web-based app suite, but want to use Google as an identity provider, can now do so with a bunch of new services.
These include compatibility with Microsoft Office 365, Facebook at Work, Box, HipChat, and Slack.
Safe and secure
This means marketers can continue to use their favourite apps, but now get the benefit of Google’s robust security features.
These are increasingly important on mobile, where Google offers features such as password strength indicator and lock screens.
