With video continuing to gain ground in social sharing, choosing the right thumbnail to show off your movie has never been more important.

So today we're looking at Taplet, a clever app that specialises in helping you grab HD stills from video.

Tap that

Taplet for iPhone and iPad lets you either shoot HD video on your mobile device or upload a video.

Once uploaded, Taplet then displays your video and lets you pull out as many stills as required.

Enhance

After you've selected your stills, you can enhance them with a series of basic editing tools. 

Images can then be saved at full resolution and shared across email and the major social networks.
