Facebook is expanding their services to airlines and allowing them great reach potential for perspective travelers with smarter flight ads.
Up the ante
Targeting users that visited travel sites is nothing new, but now Facebook has announced airlines can better target people who have only demonstrated interest.
According to their official post, “Airline brands can now use flight ads to reach those people with tailored ads promoting relevant flight routes.”
All the buzz
In addition, Facebook reckons “travelers who visit a travel-related Facebook page but have not yet chosen a trip destination may see an ad to visit an airline brand’s site.”
The smart ads are expected to be rolled out globally in the following weeks on Facebook, Facebook Audience Network, and Instagram.
Air France is already using the latest feature in the US, seeing costs per search fall as much as 66%. The new option could change the game for travel advertisers.
