Facebook is setting its sights on the digital job market by rolling out job posts in over 40 countries and offering users a professional way to connect.
Jobs on the feed
A new Jobs tab will be appearing on business Pages, Facebook Marketplace, and News Feed. Businesses would also be able to promote jobs with ads through the new Jobs dashboard.
In turn, job seekers will be able to search out posts, auto-fill applications with existing Facebook profile info, submit, and even correspond and schedule interviews through Messenger.
According to Facebook’s VP of Local, Alex Himel, “one in four people in the US have searched for or found a job using Facebook.”
Growing skills
Having been tested as far back as 2016, Facebook allied with multi-platform aggregator ZipRecruiter to add more jobs to the network.
Having been approved for North America, Facebook will begin rolling out the new feature to Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK on Android, iOS, and online.
The new Jobs dashboard can be found in the Facebook sidebar on the web and mobile More section to reveal postings by industry, location, and full-time or part-time positions.
