Maisie Williams—famous for her role as Arya Stark on ‘Game of Thrones’—has co-founded a social app designed to facilitate talent discovery and creative collaboration. It’s called Daisie.
Daisies in the chain
The publicly stated objectives of the app include to give creatives a hub to ‘like, share and collaborate on projects in communion’. Refinery29 calls Daisie the ‘the lovechild of Instagram, Bumble Bizz, and LinkedIn’.
We’re yet to see a live version, but the mock-ups certainly look like a professional network that prioritises photography in the feed.
From the individual perspective, it could be a good place to make showbiz connections with emerging talents.
Talent that is fresh as
From a company standpoint, it could work as an alternative source of talent: creative, technical and performer. There is a search function, and the ability to sort by talent type.
Of course, it’ll need a significant userbase before that’s practical.
Going by the app’s blog, it’s been an active concept for around a year already. Technical team came on board in November 2017.
Daisie is scheduled to launch on mobile later in 2018.
Would you consider using an app like Daisie when your team needs new talent?
