A change has come to Instagram Stories. When a user mentions another user within a story, that user can repost while adding an additional video or photo.

The new feature is being called @mention Sharing and works when users are tagged within another story. 

When the original poster mentions someone, a message stating “Mentioned users may repost this story for 24 hours” will appear.

When the mentioned user receives their “Add This” notification, they simply tap and the story will be previewed, allowing for additional edits of text and stickers.

The original poster’s name will always be included within the repost with access to their profile. The latest feature is included in the last Instagram update for iOS and Android.
