They say good things come to those who wait. Well, it's been a long time coming but Instagram ads are finally being rolled out globally.
Open for business
Instagram announced the news in a blog post.
"Over the past few months, we’ve been working to make ads on Instagram available to more types of businesses on a self-serve basis."
Step right up
Previously, Instagram had only partnered with large brands for advertising.
Instagram advertising is now available in 30 countries, with a global roll out on September 30.
That means brands will be able to begin marketing to Instagram's 300 million users via a series of new ad options including Marquee, a tool designed to garner engagement in a short tim frame around events such as product launches.
Video update
Landscape photo and video ads are also on offer, while video ads of up to 30 seconds in length are now available.
Previously, videos were capped at 15 seconds on Instagram – this new feature means brands will be able to use 30 second TVCs on the platform.
And all ads feature delivery and optimisation tools to ensure campaigns are tweaked to run across Facebook and Instagram. Let the frenzy begin.
Will you be using Instagram ads? If so let me know how in the comments.
