Instagram unveils new editing tools

Do you love using Instagram but are looking for more editing muscle? Now you can get more creative with a new range of creative tools.

Colour and Fade

Instagram announced the new tools, Colour and Fade, in a blog post.

The Colour tool allows users to tint the highlights and shadows in an image. Instagrammers can choose from eight colours (yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, cyan and green), or add a colourful flair.

While the Fade tool lets users soften colours to achieve a more muted effect.

Filter frenzy

Instagram is constantly tweaking and expanding its editing options. The platform released five new filters last December, along with an updated Adjust tool.

With Instagram now boasting more monthly active users than Twitter, the update might be a new way brands can reach out to this engaged and ever expanding community.
