LinkedIn is making the audacious yet interesting claim that you can now start looking for a job without searching for a single one.
Quick to the point
The premiere professional networking service is making job hunting easier by allowing users to set Career Interests to automatically send signals to job recruiters.
In a bid to keep users from the diligence-heavy submission of resumes and applications, LinkedIn is trying to streamline the point of contact process with potential employers.
The changes can all be found in the dashboard section, and users can start taking advantage of the new feature today.
Send those signals!
To access, go to your Careers Interests dashboard, then navigate to preferences. Here you can clarify your next role, including company size, job title, locations, and even preferred start date.
A new setting will also allow you to turn on Open Candidates, which “quietly signals to recruiters that you’re open to new opportunities.”
Soon, you should be seeing more relevant job recommendations along with opportunities from employers more fitting to your desired prospects. Jump start your new career today.
What do you think about the new automated system? Would this free up time and make the process simpler for you? Let us know in our comment section.
