Uber trendy team messaging service Slack has just released a handy new feature – video calling.
Call it in
Slack announced the update in a blog post, explaining the feature was now available to all users running Slack on web, desktop, or mobile.
Apparently Slack has been intensively testing the feature for months to make sure it runs smoothly.
Phone fun
To call it in, you tap on the phone icon in the top right hand corner of the channel header.
Any user can make one-on-one calls, while paid teams are able to make group calls in any channel or group DM.
In a nod to the times, video calls can include an emoji response that feature a subtle sound.
Whether this is a good or bad thing depends on your point of view.
