Optimise Instagram with Later

When is the best time to post on Instagram? The latest update from Later promises tailored intel for your account.

The Need

Posting at the right time can be tricky. Later’s own research shows that most social folk reckon that between 7pm and 9pm is best. Not everyone is right about it, and certainly not all the time.

Maybe you should post twice on Tuesday and skip Saturday altogether. But where’s the evidence?

Schedule for success

Later is an established player in social media scheduling, allowing people to pre-plan posts for pre-defined times. Some people pick post times based on instinct, while others collect comprehensive data.

The former can be inconsistent and unreliable. The latter can take more time than its worth.

Later has recently unveiled a new algorithm that can hone instincts by automating and distilling metrics into genuinely actionable advice. It picks right times for each specific account, mainly based analysis of engagement history.

Later now

For Later’s business-level subscribers, the new optimisation feature integrates with their scheduling calendar. Anyone who doesn’t want the optimisation hints can toggle them off in calendar settings.

Later claims a million brands, agencies and influencers as users. Plans that include the optimisation hints range from $16 to $49 per month.

Would you or do you pay for scheduling metrics? Is Later’s new offering tempting?
