Life for online retailers has got a little bit easier, now that Squarespace customers can accept payments via PayPal.

PayPal support is now available in beta for online stores using any Sqaurespace plan. You’ll need a PayPal Business account, although this a free upgrade from a personal one.

Once you’re good to go, head to Settings in Squarespace and choose ‘Connect PayPal’.

The update will make it easier for retailers to accept payments from international customers, where PayPal is often the payment service of choice.

The update also comes as PayPal seeks to fight the payment competition from Google and Apple via new partnerships and mobile payment product PayPal.Me.
