Instagram has blogged about the finding of a study by Oracle Data Cloud's Datalogix, which revealed Instagram drove a median of 1.8% lift in in-store sales, and a median 2.1% lift in household penetration.

Instagram also pointed to data from 700 campaigns which showed 98% of these resulted in increased ad recall. That's nearly three times higher than regular Nielsen rates.

While 70% of performance campaigns accounted for significant lifts for online conversion or mobile app installs.

Instagram also referenced a recent campaign by Lays, which created a series of video ads across Instagram and Facebook.

This resulted in Lays increasing its reach by 5%, and lowering CPM by 3%.

Interestingly, Lays saw a 5% increase in sales compared to its Facebook-only campaign.
