Taylor Swift has announced she'll be releasing her very own social networking app: The Swift Life.
App to precede album
The popular singer-song writer is planning to release her sixth studio album Reputation this month.
The album is to be released in the wake of launching The Swift Life with the only release information being that it is expected in “late 2017.”
The app has been clarified as “a creative, inclusive and community-driven place for users to better connect with each other”, and of course Taylor Swift.
What to expect from The Swift Life
The app proports to offer exclusive videos and photos coupled with replies from Taylor herself. The app will also contain unique Swift-inspired emojis called “Taymojis”, and the ability to stream her music.
The app marks the first time a celebrity has launched a social platform unique to their own brand. Depending on the app’s success, The Swift Life could be the start of a new form of social networking.
The ability to stream music and allegedly chat directly with Taylor Swift is reminiscent of a Twitter/Spotify hybrid.
Fans will decide whether The Swift Life has traction, but if it does then competitive celebrities will be sure to follow…swiftly.
