WhatsApp has just sailed by another landmark – the messaging service now hosts 100 millions calls every day.
WhatsUp?
WhatsApp has over 1 billion users, who are making over 1000 calls every second.
To put this in perspective, Skype has 300 million users – and does not publicly share its daily call figures.

Facebook snapped up WhatsApp for US$2 billion in 2014, a surprise move for some considering Facebook already owned Direct Messaging giant Messenger.
However considering WhatsApp only launched voice calls in April 2015, the update from users have been massive.
It will be interesting to see how Facebook manages to balance the features and audience of its two messaging superstars, especially in the face of lively opposition from WeChat.
