The Facebook camera will now allow users to create their own GIFs, thanks to a brand new built-in GIF creator.
Meme, myself, and I
Looking to share a snappy selfie for your convo? Now users have the option to record their own GIF quickly and easily.
The GIFs are designed to last no more than a few seconds. A full arsenal of frames and effects can be applied to your creations and easily added to profiles, stories, or simply saved to your device.
The new feature is currently in beta, ahead of an expected wider roll out.
Android not invited
So far, the new feature seems to be limited to iOS users. If successful, it can be assured the new content creator will be brought to all devices.
Facebook had recently allowed for the posting of GIFs within comment’s sections, making the new creator a natural progression.
Have you used GIFs in Facebook comments section? Have you been waiting to make your own snippets of GIF? Give us your thoughts in the discussion below.
