Sometimes, size does matter. Case in point: Facebook Live streams are even longer. And they’re bigger too.
Live it up
As part of a recent update, Facebook announced that Live streams can now run up to four hours – double the previous two hour limit.
Facebook Live now supports full-screen broadcasts in landscape and portrait (on iOS), and a video-only mode.
This means you can watch the stream uninterrupted from comments and reactions from other users.
Video star
The update reflects Facebook’s commitment to live streaming, and the increasing challenge from Twitter and Snapchat. Twitter recently live-streamed highlights from the NBA playoffs and Wimbledon.
With the latest facts showing viewers watch live streams an average of three times longer than normal videos, the update could help marketers looking to connect – with shelling out big Facebook advertising bucks.
