Launched back in May 2015, it was a full year until Facebook started toying with monetisation options for Instant Articles.
Now Facebook has announced new ways to fill them with ads.
Instant Karma
Facebook is giving publishers more customisation options for ads, based on their needs.
Publishers can now customise the ads experience at the article level. In short, this means more ads – one every 250 words. The previous limit was one ad every 350 words.
All the ads fit to print
Publishers can either insert ads manually, or choose from three options for automatic placement.
Facebook has also improved its Automatic Ads Placement feature, and says it's exploring additional ad placement options and formats for Instant Articles.
