Instagram has just passed another milestone: it now boasts over 500,000 advertisers.

Half a mil

Instagram announced the news in a blog post, adding that the half million figure has doubled in just six months.

It also revealed that the top five countries using Instagram for advertising are the US, Australia, UK, Brazil, and Canada.

Spend up

Instagram says that 50% of its global user base now follows a brand, and 60% of people have learned about a product or service on the platform.

In the two months since launching Business Profiles, over 1.5 million brands have adopted the service.
