Instagram Stories continues to get bigger, literally and figuratively. Now previews for Stories are twice as big in the feed.
Previously, Stories were displayed at the top of the Instagram feed.
In a bid to up engagement, previews for Stories now appear mid-feed, and are double the size of previews at the top of the feed.
The look is similar to how Messenger once displayed Messenger Day posts, a feature similar to Stories.
Cloning one of Snapchat’s favourite features has faired very well for Instagram.
The feature now has 300 million daily users, more than Snapchat’s entire user base of 178 million.
With Snapchat’s recent disastrous earnings report, the new format Stories could be one of the straws that breaks Snap’s back.
