Google is making plans to launch a new search engine format delivering results with custom posts for businesses.
Googling local
The internet juggernaut has recently stated that 82% of users are turning to the popular search engine for local information, even when they are already familiar with a given establishment.
Posts will be able to carry updated contact, map, and upcoming events and promotional information, easily updated by the business in real-time.
Features like one click reservations, newsletter signup, or even product links are all possible. The draw for businesses is the efficiency by which they can engage their growing customer base.
Start posting
Google My Business user can already start posting via Google My Business Android and iOS.
The addition of more malleable posts will allow businesses to control their Google footprint. As we already live in a post-friendly culture, users will likely adapt with ease to the new search format.
Are you a member of Google My Business? Have you tried the new format? Give us your feedback in the comments section below.
